General Description
  • About 200 viable spargana of a cestode were found in the muscle and subcutaneous tissues of one bear during a survey of 53 Ursus americanus - American black bear from six states in the southeastern USA, July 1973-November 1976. Additionally, there were many small pustules associated with degenerating worms. (J1.14.w10)
  • Sparganum cuniculi has been detected in Oryctolagus cuniculus - European rabbit in the Iberian Peninsula and Sparganum sp. has been detected in the Palearctic. (J11.89.w1)
