General Description Conjunctivitis: 
  • Conjunctivitis due to Haemophilus sp. has been reported. (B601.12.w12, B614.8.w8, J495.36.w4)
  • On experimental inoculation into the eyes of normal rabbits, transient blepharitis was seen starting within 48 hours of inoculation, and the organism was re-isolated. (B614.8.w8, J495.36.w4)

Mucoid enteropathy:

  • Haemophilus paracuniculus has been isolated from the gastrointestinal tracts of rabbits with mucoid enteropathy. However, it was not known whether this organism was contributing to the pathogenesis of the disease. (B614.8.w8)
